I notice that many of the proposed sites would result in  the loss of other amenities as well as employment opportunities, leisure and health care, with in most cases the throw away line that such uses must be replaced elsewhere but with no clear indication where and how all of these loses will be met. Additionally, whilst relying on Kent Highways to advise on the traffic implications of the developments, which is only right and proper, I think some thought should have been given by the Council not to propose sites that might require major road improvements as these will be costly and deter developers from utilising the sites as the cost rightly  will fall on them and make the developments uneconomic. I have some experience of this in a long career in highway planning and construction, as I am now a highway/transport consultant and before that a Divisional Director in the Highways Agency.
