We are writing to oppose the developments proposed for the above two sites.

We understand the pressure on housing and am not opposed to new build even on green belt in certain circumstances. But:

- these sites include high performing agricultural green belt land: we agree with the principle that this should not be developed unless there are special circumstances. I have seen no such special circumstances nor special mitigations such as extensive community investments as part of these plans.

- Brittains Lane, Downsview Road and Croft way are not at all suitable for any increase in traffic - indeed Brittains way is so narrow in parts that it is already verging on dangerous in particular at school times am and pm with the New Beacon rush. It is a highly attractive country lane and the necessary access points for new development will undermine this and irredeemably change its character.

- nearby schools are already over subscribed and health centres under pressure: I see nothing in the proposals to suggest that the situation would do anything other than get worse.

- in particular we would challenge the conclusion that HO120 is deliverable: it is highly unsuitable for a change of designation for the reasons given above.
