It is not clear how the local plan will make public transport better.  For example, in Edenbridge there are few buses and the trains are full in commuting hours and infrequent in between.  There is nothing in the plan to show how this will be improved although there is an expressed intention to build around 400 new homes on greenbelt in Edenbridge and the plan will be going forward for examination relatively soon.

Edenbridge has narrow roads and several narrow and low railway bridges on many of the roads which approach it and flooding on quite a few roads from time to time.  It is not clear how this can all be improved so quickly by building more houses.

There needs to be more strategic thinking and transparency too as to how CIL monies are spent at district and town council level . For example, it is very difficult to understand how the CIL funding from the 300 home Bellway Estate currently being constructed in Edenbridge is being / will be allocated and spent on particular improvement projects.
