In response to the local plan I would raise the following concern with respect to the sites H0120 and H0177.

  • Green belt should be protected whenever there are alternative options that are considered viable. Development of land which includes the ancient woodland of Great Brittains Wood will cause significant harm to flora and fauna as well as taking away from a precious amenity for the town. This feels contrary to the purpose of the area being designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Whilst a relief that sites H0120 and H0177 do not form part of current plans to develop I would urge the Council to be decisive and rule out any future consideration to develop whilst these remain a well performing part of the green belt.
