I would like to see more detail on this.  At the moment all we have are plans for new developments at a time when traffic congestion (M25 Jct 3 / Swanley) is a major problem, schools are being closed (shipping children the length of the District to get to school is hardly helping), WOLC is threatened with closure (to be replaced by a probably much smaller facility out of town), doctors surgeries are oversubscribed and waiting times for non-urgent appointments can range from 3-5 weeks.  Local bus services are infrequent and unreliable.  Cycling is unlikely to make much difference to traffic congestion - even if a few people could be encouraged to cycle would they do it in the cold, ice, rain of winter, could they do the weekly shop on a bike, would it be safe - our roads have no space for cycle lanes.
