Re. climate change - consider drought-tolerant planting to allow for dry periods. This reduces the need to water and prevents developments' important green spaces from dying off, which also affects people's wellbeing. https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=397 Sedums are effective and can also be used on green roofs etc. They can also be planted on shingle, which reduces weeds and maintenance.

Suggest enabling community growing projects on new developments. A great example is the Incredible Edible: https://www.incredible-edible-todmorden.co.uk/ This addresses social isolation, creates habitats for wildlife, especially pollinators, and encourages healthy eating/ reduces food poverty.
