South East Water would like to thank Sevenoaks District Council for bringing their Draft Local Plan proposals to our attention. Each water company is legally required to prepare a Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) every five years. South East Water published our draft Plan dWRMP19 in May 2018 and have just published our revised policy rWRMP19. This plan sets out how we intend to maintain the balance between increasing demand for water and available supplies over the next 60 years up to 208

South East Water would like to request the protection of water sources is included into your final plan, we acknowledge that you briefly outline protection of surface water. However due to the nature of the local geology, the protection of groundwater sources is as, if not more, important with regard to public water supplies.
