Re. climate change - consider drought-tolerant planting to allow for dry periods. This reduces the need to water and prevents developments' important green spaces from dying off, which also affects people's wellbeing. https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=397 Sedums are effective and can also be used on green roofs etc. They can also be planted on shingle, which reduces weeds and maintenance.

The aims of this policy are commendable although Dunton Green Parish Council would advocate that proposals need to go further than simply 'promoting' health & well being, there needs to be more detailed implementation strategies about how this can be properly achieved. With regard to the climate change section, why is meeting BREEAM standards limited to non-domestic development? Could this not be extended to larger scale domestic developments?
