Policy 7 Transport and Infrastructure Transport infrastructure (particularly new transport routes such as roads and cycle routes) can provide for wildlife and present valuable Green Infrastructure (GI) opportunities. For example, highway verges and embankments (e.g. alongside railway lines) can be important habitats in their own right, but also provide valuable connecting habitat, contributing to the overall coherence of the ecological network. We would expect this policy to acknowledge such ben

South East Water would like to thank Sevenoaks District Council for bringing their Draft Local Plan proposals to our attention. Each water company is legally required to prepare a Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) every five years. South East Water published our draft Plan dWRMP19 in May 2018 and have just published our revised policy rWRMP19. This plan sets out how we intend to maintain the balance between increasing demand for water and available supplies over the next 60 years up to 208

* Halstead Parish Council support the essence policy and yet again feel it contradicts a number of sites proposed in Policy 2 of the plan. The roads within the North of the district that lead onto motorways and A roads already struggle with the traffic passing through them and the excessive amount of development proposed cannot be sustainable. The public transport system within this Parish is poor, with an inadequate and unreliable bus services and a heaving rail provision. The policy should mak

The Council appears to be relying on site developers to provide infrastructure and social housing, or doing away with this requirement by allowing the developers to pay a sum of money into the Council's pot as an alternative. We consider this second option to be morally very wrong, even if it is allowed within planning law. The 'Medical Facility' at the Dunton Green Cold Store development is a classic example of failure; the medical facility was never provided and because of a planning 'get out'

Thank you for consulting Transport for London (TfL). As the strategic transport authority for London we provide cross boundary bus routes and manage the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN) in London boroughs that are adjacent to Sevenoaks District. Although there are no proposals currently being progressed, we would also support future devolution of some local rail services. As Sevenoaks borders London we would be grateful if you would consider extending some of the Mayor's strategic trans

The existing roads in our neighbourhood are already exceptionally congested. One only has to travel to and from Orpington or Bromley via Old London Road, the A224 and the A21 to know that the existing volume of traffic is very slow moving, and at peak times it is just one long queue from Hewitts Roundabout all the way to Bromley, and all this is before the new burial ground in Old London Road and the proposed crematorium in London Road, begin to operate. To include development sites which will m

Submission of the Education and Skills Funding Agency 1. The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the development of planning policy at the local level. We made a representation on the previous issues and options version of the Sevenoaks Local Plan in October 2017. Many of the points made in that representation are still relevant so we have attached a copy of that representation to this letter. This response avoids repetition of these points and fo

In October 2017 Thames Water responded to the Council's issues and options consultation setting out the importance of the inclusion of a policy on water and wastewater infrastructure. Following the changes which came into effect on the 1st April, it is considered that reference to water and wastewater infrastructure, and a requirement for developers to engage with Thames at an early stage is even more important. Thames Water seeks inclusion of the following paragraph and policy in the local plan
