How to Comment

The consultation period runs from Tuesday 18th December 2018. Comments should be received no later than midnight on Sunday 3rd February 2019.

You can make comments using several methods:

  • By completing the comment box for each section and policy in the online document on the consultation portal;
  • By completing the comment box for each proposed development site on the interactive map at www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/localplansubmission;
  • By completing and returning the consultation form found on the consultation portal to either:

- planning.policy@sevenoaks.gov.uk; or
- Planning Policy, Sevenoaks District Council, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1HG

What happens to my comments?

After the consultation closes, the Council will submit all comments received and the ‘Submission Version’ of the Local Plan to the Secretary of State for consideration.  

The final decision to approve the Local Plan will be taken by the Planning Inspector at a public examination in 2019. If you wish to speak at the examination, which is at the Planning Inspectors discretion, you will need to register during this consultation period.

If approved by the Government, we hope that the Local Plan will be adopted and used by the Council later in 2019.
