SDC Self and Custom Build Register

Self build housing, also known as custom build, typically involves individuals commissioning the construction of a new house from a builder, contractor, package company or physically building a house for themselves.

The purpose of the Register is to enable the Council to gather evidence to see if there is a demand for self or custom build homes within the District. It will allow us to develop our housing and planning policies to support the kinds of self and custom build projects that would be most appropriate.

How your Information will be used

By signing up, you will help us find out more about the demand for self and custom build plots in Sevenoaks, where people would like their plot to be and the type of house that they would like to build.

We will use the information to explore ways in which it might be possible for people and plots to be brought together. However, registration does not guarantee that a suitable plot will be identified, or become available.

The Council will only use the information internally. Any identifiable information will not be passed on to 3rd parties without formal prior consent from the person who registered their details.
