Call for Sites

Local residents, landowners, developers, businesses and other interested parties are invited to put forward to the District Council sites for development within Sevenoaks District that may be suitable for future development and inclusion in the new Local Plan.

The call for sites does not determine if a site should be allocated for development. It is a technical exercise aimed at identifying potential sites for development. All submitted sites will be assessed in the Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA)  and this document will be used to inform the selection of suitable sites to be taken forward in the Local Plan.

The quickest way to submit your site(s) is by completing our online questionnaire below.

Alternatively you can download a Word version of the form and email it to, or post it to Planning Policy, Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1HG.

You must complete a submission form for each site you are submitting, and include a site location plan at an appropriate scale, clearly showing the extent of the boundaries of the site.

The District Council is interested in sites that:

  • are available for development within the next 20 years; and
  • are capable of delivering 5 or more dwellings.

However, please do not submit sites that:

  • already have planning permission for development unless it is being promoted for a different land use; or
  • are wholly outside of the Sevenoaks District Council local authority area.

If you require further information, please contact the Planning Policy team on 01732 227000 or by email to

The Call for Sites remains open and new sites can be submitted to the Council at any time.

Any new sites will be included in the SHELAA available on our website

Please note that submissions cannot be treated as confidential and will be made publicly available. All sites that are published will be attributed by name and/or organisation only.
