Submission of Representations to Allocations and Development Management Plan Draft for Submission February 2013

Proposed Allocation of Parkwood Hall School, Swanley for Residential Development

On behalf of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, please find attached representations to the Sevenoaks District Council draft ADMP that seek to allocate the site of Parkwood Hall School for residential development within the Plan period. The justification for the allocation of the site is included within the attached documents which comprise:

-          A full set of existing plans including a red line site location plan;

-          A robust and fully justified submission report;

-          A series of three architectural development options for the future residential development of Parkwood Hall School.

These representations are submitted on the basis that the NPPF requires LPAs to boost significantly the supply of housing in order to meet the full, objectively assessed needs for market and affordable housing. The draft ADMP does not currently allocate sufficient housing sites to be in accordance with the NPPF. The residential development of the Parkwood Hall School site provides an opportunity for new market and affordable housing to be delivered in Sevenoaks District on a previously developed site in the Green Belt for which the principle of development is acceptable.

We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss these representations in more detail once you have had an opportunity to consider.
